How to permanently change screen resolution?

Hi All,

I am using a custom Ubuntu 16.04 desktop developed by Ubiquity Robotics on a Rpi 3B+.

I have the Rpi 3B+ connected to a 1920 x 1080 display, but the desktop Monitor Display function identifies the display as being "1824 x 984" or "Auto".

If I select "Auto", save the selection, and reboot the Rpi 3B+, the display again comes back up as 1924 x 984 and the "Auto" selection has obviously not been saved.

Is there a configuration file for this custom LXDE generated desktop where I can adjust the display resolution to the correct value and prevent the Monitor Display Settings function from reverting back to 1824 x 984 every time I boot the Rpi 3B+ up?

Regards,
TCIII

So you just need to re-apply your custom settings after every login?
Go to
Preferences => Default Applications => Autostart
and add the command that does what you want.

BTW, is this "monitor" a TV?
