LXDE GUI wizard

I tried to install LXDE on a Debian system but the repository wasn't available at that time for some reason. That's how I decided to try my luck with installing from source. Up to a certain point I managed to install dependencies, compilers, libraries and other stuff but then I abandoned the process because of a halt point I couldn't find an answer for on the internet. I'm not sure I want to resume installing from source but the least we could use is a complete documentation for source installs.

Now I found out Xfce's graphical installer, which really rocks! Would it be possible that LXDE benefits from a similar installation tool anytime soon - if ever?

I like Linux for its packet managers. From my view, installing from sources should be done by your distro (Gentoo) or binary packages shoudl be provided. Solves much problems and saves time.
