How to hide the volume control panel

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I have difficulty understanding this; the panel is the usually long, thin strip at the top or bottom of your desktop, containing a menu and various other buttons, and buttons for open windows, and a so-called system tray for other icons like volume control or network manager.
Usually there's only one such panel.

With that in mind:

No, but you can set it to autohide (hit the screen edge with your mouse to show).
