Simple USB/Removable Eject Panel/Applet/Systray

Post by monty »

Looking for a simple (small and lightweight) applet to give functionality of ejecting any mounted removables...seems like most of the projects out there are too old...

I have Debian 11 minimal, LXDE, openbox, & pcmanfm.

Something like this (on Lubuntu) ...just for reference:

Running Debian Sid here. I'm not aware of an LXDE applet for that, but for a USB thumb drive, you can open PCManFM, highlight the thumb drive under Places, right-click and there is an option Eject Removable Media.

For a lightweight applet to eject mounted removables on Debian 11 with LXDE, openbox, and pcmanfm, you might consider 'ejecter.' It's a simple and efficient tool that should work well with your setup. Give it a try and let me know if it meets your requirements. Feel free to ask if you need further assistance!
