Hi, I had a corrupt cupsd.config and after a few attempts to rectify/reinstall I uninstalled all things "CUPS" and then reinstalled them all the back end seems to be there and I can print however the Main Menu > Preferences > Printers icon is gone and I am not sure what the entry should be linked to so can not recreate it.
sudo lpstat -t gives details of installed printers but I have no idea how to start the management GUI.
Any suggestions?

Re: Printers missing
Hi, Not for the first time I have answered my own question, the GUI used by Debian LXDE is " System-config-printer " and once installed the link reapers in the Main Menu.
Hope this is helpful to someone.
