Came across this on ‘The Register’ while investigating new OS releases.
Yes the old fool (74) likes to keep up with latest news yet keep as far away from Wayland as possible

The lone code-ranger is Enrico Weigelt, who describes himself as an "old Linux hacker and kernel maintainer." Full credit to this Guy in my book.
Full credit to the Register for publishing obscure article on refresh rates and updating Debian-based Linux distros, FreeBSD 14, NetBSD 10, OpenBSD 7.5, and now OpenIndiana Hipster. This reflects one of the core features of X11, which is not a priority for Wayland.

I totally agree—Enrico Weigelt deserves a lot of respect for his work in the Linux community, and it's cool that The Register continues to cover these niche yet important topics. The flexibility and robustness of X11, particularly with tools like LXDE, are hard to beat, especially for those of us who value low resource usage and easy configuration. Basketball Stars
