Hi

I am trying out LXDE in sidux (Debian sid-like) and so far so good. Icons are set...Hal is sweet etc
I installed xdm for login.

I attempted to google but failed to find a quick answer so hoping someone can link me to the answer?

Question

How do I enable numlock to be on...when booting into system please?

thanks in advance

hi

just discovered the slim login manager after being used to using kdm.

/etc/slim.conf can be modded to allow numlock ...uncomment the action line numlock

Code: Select all

# Activate numlock when slim starts. Valid values: on|off
numlock on

Another option would be using the BIOS. They provide most times a numlock option. So you ahve numlock already before X.
