Synaptic tells me that LXNM is installed. (Actually it had to remove network-manager and network-manager-kde to install it.) However it doesn't seem to be running (looking at LXTask) and there is no connection or wifi icon in the bottom right, or anywhere else.
I'm on a wired connection now, but later I might have to install network-manager-gnome so that I can get wifi.
I also couldn't see any way of connecting to wifi when I started with MEPIS in KDE.
On a Thinkpad R60.
Help! LXNM not working in MEPIS, on Thinkpad
