I'm running Xubuntu Jaunty and installed lxde to get and noticed that LXSession doesn't show-up in the menus along with other LX-components, i.e. LXShortcut, LXMusic, LXTask, GPicview, etc. Should they be available automagically or should I have to load each one separately?

you are sure, that they are installed? I might be wrong, but I thought, that this were extra packages and you have to install them separately.
