LXPanel Feature Request

Post by Mark »

It'd be nice if it were possible to install guest applets from Gnome, xfce4 or WindowMaker in the panel. Like you can do with Gnome-panel and xfce4-panel.

Please, before include new features, fix problem with uncomplect and broken code in lxpanel.

For sample: merge code lxpanel-xkb-plugin with new version xfce4-xkb-plugin (0.5.2).

This is not useful. Once you use gnome applets, most of the time, they load some gnome services.
So, you end up with all the gnome services / libs running.
If that is the case, why not using gnome-panel directly?
Gnome panel is well-designed for this purpose.
Using gnome panel won't be more expansive than using lxpanel + all the gnome stuff.
