New Xorg gestures
Lxde may support, if needed, the new xorg touchpad gestures from xf86-input-libinput 1.2 ?

Not sure what you are asking since lxde is a desktop environment not an operating system.

Maybe u r right. the only touch-friendly setting in lxde is the drag threshold...
gestures should be handled by xorg settings, xinput...

Again, LXDE is a desktop environment. If it runs on top of Xorg then yes, Xorg supports xf86-* drivers.
It seems you are asking if there's a gui utility do modify libinput settings?
There's lxinput, but it's possible it does not support what you want.
There's xinput-gui, maybe it'll do better.
