Re: Special icons for distribution files
If you had looked at the top thread under PCManFM you would have noticed that there is a place to go to make requests or file a bug report. The second post under that thread gives the current location. https://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=575 Future requests for PC ManFM should be made to htt...

Re: Is there an option to always keep the panel hidden *unless* I press the super key?
Welcome to the lxde forums. There is currently no option to hide the LxPanel unless you press the super key. The closest that you can come to keeping it out of your way is probably what you are already using. If you want that as an option you can request it as a future request at: http://sourceforge...

Re: Beginner assistance
Welcome to the lxde forums. Unfortunately we have no Italian forum so I have taken the liberty of translating your post and splitting it from the thread that you posted it on. The translation is below. Hello everyone! . I installed LXDE on an old PC and found it to be really responsive and fast, unf...

Re: Reset LXDE system to "factory version"
First of all lxde is not an operating system. It is a desktop environment used on an operating system. Which operating system are you using (Debian, Gentoo, Fedora, etc). There is a command that works on some systems (based on GTK or Gnome). I have never used it. It is: dconf reset -f / I know of no...

Re: Is this forum dead now ?
The forum is not dead, but definitely under used. However, it never has been a very active forum and a forum is the place where users go to get a problem solved and share solutions that they have found. Developers seldom if ever visit forums. Forums are only as good and effective as the people who v...

Re: Where translate?
Well, I too found the Pootle server unreachable. However, there is a mailing list where you can register. https://sourceforge.net/projects/lxde/lists/lxde-i18n . It is the first step in the process according to https://wiki.lxde.org/en/How_to_contribute_into_translating_LXDE . You may discover an al...

Re: From Lubuntu-LXDE to What?
Bodhi 5.1.0 is only 782 MBs. The legacy version (that's what they call the 32 bit version) is only 747 MBs so they fit on a 1 GB flash drive. Your definition of ugly and mine are quite different but that of course is a personal thing and you are quite correct in saying it probably matters less to a ...

Re: From Lubuntu-LXDE to What?
Have run across a similar problem here. Our LUG was using Lubuntu as our "go to" distro for newbie installs at our installation festivals. We were dealing with a great deal of older 32 bit computers. Realizing that it would be EOL in the near future (April 2021) we began searching for a distro that ...
