Hi All,
Building a new box, trying Archlinux for the first time, and LXDE for the first time. I have LXDE mostly running... but the panel is a little broken.
On the left, I see: start menu icon, file folder icon, broken icon (generic document with red X) that does nothing, screen thumbnail, and 2 screen selector boxes. The right hand group, left to right: an empty black box that does nothing, the time, and another broken icon that does nothing.
Never having run LXDE before, I'm not sure what to expect. Or where to look for config files. All the basics seem to be working, however. I simply installed lxde and openbox via pacman -- did nothing out of the ordinary. I assume there is a config file somplace that is slightly askew.
TIA,
dave

Right click the panel, select Panel Settings, and configure what you want in your panel from there.
Re: newbie having glitches on Archlinux
Interestingly, when I installed Firefox, the hole on the left-hand side got plugged. I guess I need to go read configuration files and see what the packager was thinking would go into the other holes, and take it from there.
Thanks,
dave
