Glad its working for you. Have you tried Faenza icon theme? Its very complete and one of the nicer looking ones.

worker201 wrote:I had tried switching to a different icon theme before, but it didn't work. However, that's because the icon theme I switched to didn't have the right icons either. Switching to a much more thorough icon theme solved the problem. I'm now using Mist - which doesn't look as good, but is more complete.
Could you please confirm that changing the theme to Mist has fixed the issue?

A Screenshot for the problem will be great. Can you produce the same error again? if yes, take a screenshot and upload it here please :)

Just to be clear, my icon theme is Mist, my widget theme is Glossy, and my window-border theme is Onyx-Citrus.

I can easily reproduce this issue. Switching from Mist to Oxygen in the icon theme causes Totem to lose icons.

I was thinking about this last night...I wonder if you could find the Totems icons in the Mist icon theme files and either make them a part of the Oxygen theme or exclude totem from the icon theme and have it get its icons from elsewhere. Maybe something to look into..

Thank you so much, I appreciate that :)

I'm on Lubuntu 11.10 Beta2 to do some tests. I'll check if I can produce the same error when I'll login back to Lubuntu 11.04 where all my programs are installed.

I downloaded the Totem source and dug into it, and here's what I found. It expects to find icons named:

media-eject
media-playback-pause-symbolic
media-playback-start-symbolic
media-playback-stop-symbolic
media-seek-backward-symbolic
media-seek-forward-symbolic
media-skip-backward-symbolic
media-skip-forward-symbolic

On my system, the only theme with -symbolic suffixes is "elementary". However, most themes have these icons without the -symbolic thing on the end. Could be fixed with some symbolic links.
