Questions about adjusting fonts

Post by jacatone »

I'm running Linux Mint 8 LXDE. I've figured out that Appearance changes the desktop icon and title fonts. What changes the fonts in the main menu? Thanks.

hmm interesting i never really noticed that feature was missing. i run lxde on my netbook so i don't really want to increase font sizes but for someone with a bigger screen or impared vision i can see why that'd be necessary. honestly i'm not sure if you can do it, i checked myself and it doesn't look like there is a way, but i have an idea.

lxde is based on openbox. lxde is mostly just an extension, so font related things were already developed in openbox. i'm sure if you run synaptic, you might be able to find some advanced openbox configuration editor that could change the fonts. if not, check any documentation on openbox, as this might tell you.
My LXDE setup:
Asus EEE PC 900, 900MHz Celeron, 1GB of RAM, Intel integrated graphics, 16GB SSD
