Re: No hourglass
Hey Littlebig1. Since using Lubuntu, I have not noticed the great load time that I did in Windows (back in the day) or even in Ubuntu or Mint. The only spinning circle is in Firefox when loading the web site and it is only for a very short time. Netboy seemed to be stuck on a Windows thing. Well, Linux isn't Windows There isn't a whole lot of time when you are using Lubuntu anyway because it is so fast. When the Firefox icon didn't appear in the Task Bar (Window List) as soon as I clicked on it, I thought something was wrong. Well Lubuntu doesn't do that until it is loaded. Yes it only takes a split second. Not sure if there is an answer other than the ones provided already.

Re: No hourglass
Hi,
well lxde running fast or not, we need to know what the operating system is doing. Because the running speed is too subjective, imagine you could have completely different results if running your linux lxde inside qemu or a distant X session. So the operating system have to tell it is busy at loading a program, by showing the right mouse cursor (hourglass or spinning circle or whatever).
I have asked for help somewhere else too on this question, and in askbuntu, and the problem is confirmed by other users.
Best regards
