Running Debian Squeeze updated from Debian Lenny.
Installed whatever version of lxde is in the repos. However, it appears that Openbox or LXDE failed to create a .config/openbox directory. Thus, there is no lxde-rc.xml file, and because of that ObConf will not work. I can't really change anything.
Is there a fix, or can anybody supply the text of what is supposed to be in the lxde-rc.xml file so I can create it myself?
Thanks,
Michael S.
Missing lxde-rc.xml, no openbox directory
Re: Missing lxde-rc.xml, no openbox directory
Check out these locations:
/etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/local/etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/local/share/lxde/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/share/lxde/openbox/rc.xml
And copy the file that seems most appropriate to .config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml
Good Luck!
/etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/local/etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/local/share/lxde/openbox/rc.xml
/usr/share/lxde/openbox/rc.xml

Re: Missing lxde-rc.xml, no openbox directory
For whatever reason, the openbox directory was installed in / and ObConf points to that by default, so I just chmod 777'd the whole directory and now it works. Weird, though.

Hello, All!
Thanks for the tip!
Your reply pointed me in the right direction. They're using the additional location of /etc/xdg/openbox/LXDE/rc.xml as well.
