Two questions by newbie

Hi, everybody. I'm newbie and I installed Debian Lenny LXDE. I want to ask you two questions.
1. Is it possible to increase/ decrease volume in debian with mouse scroll? I used Linux Mint and when I put the mouse pointer on the volume icon it was possible to control the volume only with mouse scroll. Now in Debian, first I have to click on volume icon and then to increase volume with mouse scroll.
2. I'm from Bulgaria and write in Bulgarian and English very often. Can I write in two programs (for example: Skype and Opera browser) in two different languages at the same time. When I use Windows XP I switch between languages and it's possible to write in Bulgarian in Skype, and in English in Opera. Now when I write in Skype in Bulgarian for example and I want to write in English in Opera, I have to switch between languages(to English) , but then I can write only in English. It's very inconvenient. Is there any solution?

Hi,

1. Simply add the "Volume control" entry to the panel (right click on the on the panel > add panel entrys > add).

2. Do the same and this time add the "change keyboard layout" entry.

They names can differ, they are translated back on the fly.

In the keyboard layout switcher, there is an option to remember the layout for each application window. You can use this to get switching automatically when your focus changes to the different applications.
