Raise window on mouse hover?

I am immersing my self in LXDE now. I am a longtime Gnome user, but I'm pretty fed up with the bulkiness of Gnome.

SO, now I have LXDE/Lubuntu 10.04 installed and I'm mostly loving what I see. Although, there are a few small issues that conflict with my habits.

The first, is something I got used to in Gnome: Raising windows on mouse hover. IIRC, this was in the Gnome Preferences->Windows app. I cannot find how to do this in LXDE.

The second, is moving active-programs to the left and right within the Task Bar. I'd prefer to not have to close a program then reopen it to force it to be placed on the right end of the Task Bar.

Can any kind soul out there shed some light on these subjects?

You are used to a "focus follows pointer" window manager. In LXDE you can run any window manager that pleases you. You need only find a window manager you like and run that instead of whatever you are running.

(The "focus follows pointer" vs. "click to focus" debate has been hotly contested since the 1990s.)

As to moving existing buttons in the taskbar, I am not aware of any other request for that feature, or for that matter any panel that offers it, and it does not sound like something we would do based on one request.

If using openbox, check out obconf (mouse tab). First option under Focusing Windows is Focus windows when the mouse pointer moves over them
