There's a bug in the panel applet "Directory Menu" which makes the menu pop up far to the right of the applet icon instead of directly above it. This happens especially when there are other applets, spacers and stuff in the panel and the "Directory Menu" icon is located somewhat away from the left edge or the right edge of the panel.
Another issue with "Directory Menu" isn't a bug but a missed opportunity as with just a few relatively simple features added this applet could be turned into a customizable file launcher. At the moment the only options available in the applet configuration are "Directory", "Label" and "Icon". It would be nice if in a future version of the applet the configuration had also options for disabling the default menu items "Open in Terminal" and "Open" as well as a new "Display Files" option which would turn the applet from a directory menu into a customizable file launcher.
I've been using a SliTaz 3.0 with LXDE desktop for some time and I am very happy with it. But I'm still looking for a comfortable radio application that doesn't take up too much space. MPlayer is great because unlike most players it can deal with practically all types of stream protocols and encodings when started from the console. But unfortunately there seems to be no comfortable radio frontend for MPlayer ... which is where the 'enhanced' "Directory Menu" could do wonders. All it would take to set up a radio application would be a categorized directory tree (Blues, Classic, Jazz, Pop etc.) containing a series of short scripts, each launching MPlayer with a different stream address. The whole thing would have the look & feel of Radio Tray but without the additional bulk (Python etc.).
