Icons for folders on LXDE desktop

If there are actual folders on the desktop, LXDE displays the PCManFM folder icon for those items, but GNOME allows for individual icons to be used.

Is there a way to have different icons display for each folder in LXDE, or is it limited by its design to use the PCManFM icon for those?
