Icons in Taskbar

I am using Debian 5.0 AMD64 and having a problem with LXDE. I have noticed that there are no icons in my taskbar when I am using Iceweasel, lxterminal and etc... Would you be able to tell me how I can get icons in my taskbar? Thank you for your help in advance. Ken


For example, I am using Iceweasel Lxterminal and Openoffice and Xarchiver. My taskbar is like this....

What icon set are you using? And could you test the panel with another icon set?

I am using nuovexXT2 icon. I changed the other icon themes, for example, hicolor, but still no icons in my taskbar. What kind of icon packages should I install please? Ken

which version of lxde panel are you using ? I use debian lenny and my icons are messed up as well but this was a known issue with. The newest version of the panel is supposed to have fixed this but i ran into problems with that version of the panel as well.

I am using 0.3.2.1+svn20080509-5. I really hope that the problem is fixed soon, because I love LXDE...LXDE is the best desktop environment

I have installed and am running 0.3.999 right now and the icons are working. I am hacking on the panel today try and get some things fixed and then maybe i can push them upstream. But if you install this version of the panel you will get your icons back ! Oh yeah if you are using Lenny you will either have to build from source or build your own .deb package for your system.

I installed Ubuntu8.10 i386 and the version of LXDE is 0.3.2.1+svn20080509-2, but it shows icons in the task bar. Maybe Ubuntu maintainers fixed the problems only for i386. I checked Ubuntu AMD64 version, but it does not shows icons in the task bar....

yes because it only affects the 64 bit version if you read the changelog for the newest panel you will see the fix was recently added
