Hello,
I am using Lubuntu 10.04 (LXPanel 0.5.5). If possible I want to add hamster-applet time tracker (which is a gnome-panel applet) on to Lxpanel. Is there a way I can do this? If not, could you please suggest me a light and useful time tracking application for LXDE other than gnotime or gtimelog?
Thank you for any help in advance.
Edit: I understand after reading this thread that "There will never be a way to add gnome-panel applets to LXDE panels". It seems like there is a strict policy about this matter. I did not know that.
hamster-applet (for gnome-panel) on lxpanel
Re: hamster-applet (for gnome-panel) on lxpanel
Hamster is part of GNOME, and most probably available in your distribution – go ahead and search for “hamster” in your package manager! Distribution version hopefully will match GNOME stable, whichever that is at the moment and is suggested for everyday use.
Note: Hamster applet is an applet, so you can add it to your desktop by right-clicking on a panel, then choosing “Add to Panel…” and in the dialog looking for “hamster”.

So no one else is confused, this answer is totally incorrect. It would be correct if the question were "how do I locate and add the Hamster applet to the gnome-panel." As pointed out, we do not and have no plan to support adding Gnome applets to LXPanel.vinuprro wrote:Hamster is part of GNOME, and most probably available in your distribution – go ahead and search for “hamster” in your package manager!
