Desktop Trashcan Problem

I am using LXDE/Archlinux on an EeePC 901.

The trashcan on my desktop does not show the "empty" icon after it has been emptied, although it behaves correctly within pcmanfm.

The desktop entry is:

EmptyIcon=trashcan_empty

#OnlyShowIn=KDE 

If I replace "Icon=trashcan_full" with "Icon=trashcan_empty", an empty trashcan is shown, so the icon is actually present.

I would be very grateful for any advice.
