Display command output

Is there a possibility to peridocly run a command and display the output in lxpanel?

Things like displaying the current ping to some server could easily be done with this ...

Hi

AFAIK that's not possible. If you are familiar with C you could try to code a plugin for LXPanel. If not try "conky" or "notify-send".
